Best buy laptops in 2015

This year promises several exciting laptop models from most of the leading manufacturers. The focus seems to be on providing extended battery life, keeping in mind the growing number of people who are on the go. Here are few models that may catch your fancy.
AMD has just released information about its new range of processors to be released under the name Carizzo. These highly energy efficient processors promise extended battery life. Excavator is one such processor that is faster than its predecessor Kaveri. Even the graphics chip is designed to use up to 20% less energy when compared to the one installed in Kaveri.

Dell’s new model laptop, the Dell XPS 13, is an ultraportable laptop that is probably the best in its league. The sleek, compact design coupled with the spruced up performance, and enhanced battery life will make this the choice of many. Add to this the smart design, handy keyboard, and affordable price that is sure to win over potential customers.
The Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus is a stunning, all-aluminum ultraportable laptop that comes with a spirited HD touch screen, and a commendable battery life. It also boasts power-packed speakers that let you have a blast while on the go. The solid, backlit keyboard looks and feels comfortable, especially for people who need to spend long hours at their laptops.
Dell, again, has some great laptops especially for schools, which includes the Chromebook 11, which is exactly what teacher prescribed. Built tough to withstand the rigors of rough usage by school kids, this new model from Dell comes along with another laptop named the Latitude laptop that has several similarities. The keyboard and display deck feature a 180-degree hinge, making it ultra-flexible in the hands of school kids. The keys and touchpad are sealed into the keyboard deck, making the entire unit leak-proof.
Not to be left behind in the race, the ASUS Transformer Book, a 2-in-1 affair, this is a laptop that has a special detachable feature that can convert it into an 11.6-inch tablet, and comes a lot cheaper than an iPad. Smooth performance is guaranteed by the quad-core Intel Atom CPU, and the 64-GB onboard storage is probably more than sufficient for most people. The keyboard and touchpad work excellently, though the battery life could have been better.
Acer’s new Aspire R13 comes with a swivel screen, and is a 2-in-1 with superfast SSDs, and commendable overall performance. The promised battery life matches any other offered in the market, and what’s more is the design is clunky and appealing. With so many new models jostling for space, prospects for potential best budget laptop in 2015 sure looks promising and is bound to generate a lot of excitement.

Sony Vaio Laptops turns into Tablets

Sony almost gave up on its VAIO about a year ago; however it is being revived with a bang now. The brand was originally sold off to Japan Industrial Partners, and is now back with Sony, and the company has decided to add another PC to the VAIO name. The VAIO Z and VAIO Z Canvas were originally designed in-house by the team at Sony, and the VAIO Z was the flagship brand of the company. This ultra notebook is designed to in such a way that users can flip the hinged back and transform the Sony laptops into a tablet.

The VAIO Z Canvas, on the other hand is a cheaper version that is a lot lighter, and has a keyboard that is detachable. The VAIO Z itself comes in two avatars, each featuring a 13.3-inch display, and powered by either an Intel i7 or an i5 processor. It has a strong aluminum carbon shell body, and the system can boot itself in 0.3 seconds flat. When you are constrained for working space you can simply twist the display to face downwards, and convert the laptop into a tablet. Although Sony prefers to call its flagship product a “monster PC” it does not draw that much power as one would imagine.

The machine can go on and on for close to 15.5 hours on a single charge, is what the company
claims. This is by far the longest time for any VAIO, and is a feat indeed. The Z Canvas too is a “monster tablet” that is powered by an i7 processor, and features a 256-GB SSD with up to 16GB onboard memory. The Z Canvas too can transform itself, as it comes with a keyboard that is detachable. In case you don’t want to use the keyboard, you can always opt to use the stylus, as you would do with any other tablet.

While the VAIO laptops went on sale after Sony sold the brand to Japan Industrial Partners in 2013, the other devices VAIO Fit and VAIO Pro were all created while the brand was still in the procession of Sony. These new laptops come under the category of being the first products that were created and launched under the new ownership. The new owners did borrow the name from what VAIO had earlier – the VAIO Z11 that was launched back in 2012. The VAIO Z series released now indicate a new name that starts from scratch, hence Z is not followed by any numerals, denoting nothing – or Zero.

Securing Your Laptop

Higher the value of your personal belongings, higher the risk of losing it in the open world! To a person of interest, the risk of losing your private valuables is mathematically high. One such article that you can value the most is your laptop and losing it may cost you more than you imagine. The first of the many things you need in order to safe keep your laptop is using a password that is unique and keeps people baffled when they hear it (Which is never hearing it ever in their lifetime). But in this evolving world, the software produced makes things so simple, even to the ones that steal your laptop away from you. So this article gives you something that will keep your personal stuff within the laptops safe, or in other words, not retrievable to thieves who seek it.

Disabling the boot option is one important thing to be done when a person who has valuable data in his laptop. Booting the device is as easy as cutting a slice of pie and it also prevents the files from deleting from the laptop when multiple chambers or partitions are made on the hard disk. In laptops that are pretty old the option of booting from a USB device has not been granted but whereas today’s laptops, since they are expensive these laptops give the option of booting from a USB device. The primary reason for why this feature is made available is because if in case the laptop malfunctions and the only way of retrieving it is through booting up the device.
Though the security has been heavily increasing in these laptops, there are programs such as pogo stick and ophcrack that gives people the access they require in order to break open into the system. But in either case the requirement of the system to boot up is an essential quality. In order to disable booting through a CD or a USB device can be done through the basic input/output system (BIOS). The open the BIOS menu, one must press the designated key provided by the laptop company. Usually the common keys used are F1, F4, F10 or the delete (Del) button. The key to be pressed is usually displayed during the startup or if in case the command isn’t displayed, it could be searched over the internet. Ensure that the BIOS settings is password protected too from the settings available there.
This is one of the primary steps that requires observance in order to protect your data.

New Smart Keyboard that Recognizes Users by their Typing Style

Ever thought the typewriters founded in the year 1860s would evolve into a ‘smart’ security electronic device that could realize user detection, alert, record user’s typing pattern and identify the person. But this novel vision has turned into a reality now. Originally, keyboards of desktops and laptops adopted the QWERTY design similar to the ones found on typewriters. Later, keyboards for desktops and laptops incorporated additional keys such as the alphanumeric keys (numbers and letters), punctuation keys and special keys – arrow keys, control keys, function keys and so on.   The layouts kept changing and took the form of AZERTY – a French version of the QWERTY design, Dvorak - for speed typing, AT keyboards, enhanced keyboards, ADB keyboards meant for Apple machines and many more to suit different needs and purposes. Now, it has gone a step ahead and has emerged as device safeguarding computers and its contents.

Even though password protection enables control over unwarranted computer access, it too is not fool proof.  Social networking sites buzzing with news related to high-profile hacking stories are a common phenomenon and are proof to this ever rising concern. Introduction of the new smart keyboard that recognizes users by their typing style has come as a solace to all of us who have been concerned about the increasing cyberattacks and identity thefts that are plaguing the whole world. Unlike the traditional keyboard types that record keystrokes based on the keys that are pressed, this self-powered and self-cleaning smart keyboard records the pattern of keystrokes based on the time taken in between keystrokes and the force applied over them. It means, this keyboard would be able to even differentiate one user from another, by the way he/she types. Even if anyone comes to know what the password is, she or he would not be in a position to gain access unless and until she or he is the genuine user. The ultimate aim is to prevent unauthorized personnel from getting access to computers and the contents in it, directly.

In addition to this, a special coating on its surface deters accumulation of grime and dirt on it. So, users need not have to bother about cleaning it too. Last but not the least, the energy produced from typing can be used for powering any other smaller electronic device or to power itself. In total, this smart keyboard is set to prove that it would be one of the cost-effective, user-friendly desktop and laptop keyboards that would also help in securing the contents on computers by providing an extra protective layer that augments security.

We love ebay, only till we get swindled by a man who claims to sell a laptop, but all he actually sells is a picture of it. If you are still wondering if people really are being cheated like this, hell yeah, they are.
So the story goes like this. A surfer guy named Paul Barrington, surfer by passion, sold the last of his surfing boards to buy an Apple MacBook for 300 Euros from eBay. Keeping in mind that this act of sacrifice was to kick start a business of his own as DJ, because of a lung condition that caused him breath troubles. A few days later, a box that either by size or weight had no chance of containing a laptop arrived at his doorstep.
Guess what? He did receive a MacBook, but printed over a paper. There definitely were laughs, but when asked about it to Mr.Barrington, he replied “I sold my pride and joy for a piece of paper.” As we all know, such instances aren’t new. There are many such incidents that have fooled many.

eBay felt sorry and promised to pay him back through the ‘eBay Money Back Guarantee. As much as the story seems to entertain us, a part does feel sorry for him.
The 10 worst PC's in the history of PC's

Laptops and computers are prevalently used and during all times of a day by all for some or the other purpose that it is hard to even imagine a day without using them. The addiction is due to the ability to receive and send information, pictures, videos and audios without any limitations with regards to time, space, people or location. Since the invention of computers and laptops many models have evolved and proved as worthy ones while some as unworthy ones. It is also quiet natural that the worthy ones get the maximum attention and the unworthy laptop or computer models go unnoticed or unheard. To make a difference, here you are going to see information on some of the worst computers that hit the market.  The list comprising of the 10 worst PC's in the history of PC's include the Gavilan, Zenith Minisport, Apple iBook, Compaq’s Circa, IBM’s Butterfly, Toshiba Libretto, Momenta, Mattel Barbie PC, Dell Dimension 4600 and the Dynabook.
Initially called as the Cosmos Computer, the Gavilan was the first computer to have incorporated the mousepad also known as the touchpad. Even though it was considered as a pioneer of laptops, the developers could not justify the use of a touchpad and its poor location (above the keys) only added to the woes of the manufacturer. With a backlit LCD that also reflected, the Zenith Minisport introduced in the year 1989 made it difficult for the users to read the contents displayed on its screen in whatever condition it was viewed. In spite of a great hype surrounding its futuristic floppy disk technology, this machine did not get much welcome because of its many unconvinced features. The Apple iBook of the year 1999 was an exceedingly large machine that came in wonderful hues but with a contrasting less performance. Hence was ridiculed as a machine worth to be a toy for girls. Compaq’s Circa had trackballs situated over its screen bezel that many users it uncomfortable to use. After this model, the company’s models never got a strong foothold in the field of laptops. IBM’s Butterfly promoted as an ultra-compact machine had a weird, expandable keyboard fetching it a position of an offbeat classic but it never ticked with the users.

Toshiba Libretto was one among the fully featured yet ultra-small machines that were impractical to view contents and use. Momenta, a pad based machine that lead the way to the tablet PCs we use now failed to impress just like its successor. The pink colored Mattel Barbie looked more like a toy than a computer while Dell’s Dimension 4600 had a big start but ended up as a subject that featured in jokes. It was due to it power supply failures and misdiagnosed problems. Dynabook is one of the laptops that used lead-acid batteries but unlike the other worst PCs this did not even hit the market, before that itself it became extinct, such were its abilities. The manufacturers of the above mentioned 10 worst PC’s of the history should have considered sending them to sellalaptop.com instead of flooding these junk machines into the market. In fact, they would have made more profits, beyond their expectations.

E-waste, this is something a seemingly increasing problem faced by most of us today. Invariably it directly strikes a country or a society and its economical values. But before getting deep down inside, lets us understand what e-waste, its source, its growth rate, its global impacts etc.

The phenomenon of e-waste can be defined as the term that encloses all types of electrical and electronic gadgets/equipment that has been or could be scraped or put into no more use state. It covers up right from TV’s, computers, mobile phones, white goods, house hold things and business uses like electrical components.

On top of all the other gadgets, computers accounts for major e-waste scraps world-wide. The intense reason behind it is due to ‘digital revolution’ or in the other words ‘technological dive’. The rapid increase and innovation in the ITC (information and communication technology) has paved for rapid replace from analog to digital technology in fast pace. This eventually lead to low priced goods that gradually increased the demand for gadgets globally, invariably ending up in E-waste.

Although it’s a difficult task to statistically abridge the actual amount of e-waste being disposed. Few are being ethically re-cycled; few are left out as scraps and lot more are being used along with the newest products illegally. This is a long run process and often complicated to track its chain of events yet, we are on our way to resolve this e-waste problem by engaging ourselves with the various stakeholders and relevant scientific insight.

He founded the Scuderia Ferrari in the year 1928 with its headquarters in Modena. Originally, the company sponsored various amateur drivers and prepared them to become successful racers till 1938. In 1941 the Scuderia became to be known as the Auto Avio Constrzioni Ferrari, since Enzo Ferrari was banned from racing by contract. This phase lasted for four years and during this period the company apparently started making aircraft accessories and machine tools. During this period Ferrari managed to produce the Tipo 815, a race car but it did not get much attention because of World War II. During the Year 1943 the company relocated its factory to Maranello and since then producing cars from that location. 125 S was the first road car created by Ferrari, which he unenthusiastically built to fund his company Scuderia Ferrari.
